I'm very satisfied with this product. I would have wanted just the HDMI, 'cos Now I do not have any use of the extra USB cable I got with itand it will be lying around till I find some good use for it :-(
You'll know your money was not wasted at the moment you put your hands on it and plug it in.About the USB cable, it's long enough for me to charge my dualshock3 laying in bed instead of sitting next to the PS3.This is with no doubt, THE ONE TO GET.
i really enjoy playing with the hdmi-usb cable that i have purchased. I got it pretty quick and it came all in one piece.I have no complaints whatsoever over the product.
We have had a few instances of no sound since the change (but it is much less frequent now) and the issue can now be solved by simply power cycling the TV (which is quicker and leaves the PS3 preferences intact). This involved going through the HDMI set up menus and losing personalized PS3 preferences.
I have a PS3 and a Sony Bravia Z series TV. Yes, this is a bit expensive for cables, but I feel that the problems they have solved for me has been worth it.
The only way for us to remedy this was to do a hard reset of the PS3 (while off, hold the power button for a few seconds until it makes a second beep and then let go - in case you are interested), which was just about every time we wanted to use it. For the first several months we had the PS3 connected to the TV with a HDMI cable we got from a friend, and we also had the annoying quirk of frequently losing sound from the PS3.
Quite often when the TV or PS3 was turned off and then back on, there would be no sound from the PS3. While these new cables are expensive, they are MUCH more reliable than the old ones.
So, yes, they are expensive, but they have solved a technical headache, and are a pretty small price compared to the TV and gaming system really, and is well worth it if it makes them work appropriately.
i,ve just bought this cable today and was so happy,ful 1080p,strong outer mesh to protect it.and you also get a 10ft usb cable with it.if your going to buy any hdmi cable buy this one you won,t regret it.there are a lot hdmi cables out there ,stick with sony name brand it,s perfect for your ps3 or bluray movies,etc its a good purchase
